ALPACT Presentation

In March, Executive Director, Margaret Brown, United States Attorney Barbara McQuade and Assistant United States Attorney Susan DeClercq presented at ALPACT (Advocates and Leaders for Police and Community) on the subject of fair housing law and enforcement and the role of fair housing centers such as FHCMD. The audience was law enforcement personnel from agencies such as the FBI, Homeland Security, local police departments and others.

The purpose of ALPACT is to examine issues affecting police and community relations and ensure equitable enforcement of laws, including: racial profiling, police discretion, use of force, recruitment and training, citizen complaint processes, community partnering, and police leadership and management disciplinary practices.
