Coordinator of Systemic Investigations and Testing

I primarily conduct systemic investigations (not complaint-based); these investigations include senior complexes, accessibility and open houses.

Provides analysis on legal issues and helps to direct investigations in collaboration with the coordinator of testing and investigations and coordinator of systemic testing as chief investigator of mortgage lending cases.  Answers questions from the general public on housing mortgage lending.  Provides education to clients on mortgage lending, foreclosures and other issues as needed. In addition, serves as an intake associate as part of the intake team. Prepares all documents necessary to the HUD grant. Furthermore, works on special projects for the Executive Director when assigned.

Coordinator of Computer Services

As a computer technician, provide computer and software assistance to staff. Interface with outside vendors in the area of hard and software. Trouble shot computer and equipment issues for staff. Provide reports such as the general ledger and other documents as requested by the Executive Director and others. Maintain the email and regular mail lists for communications such as email blasts and the newsletter.

Legal Services Coordinator

Evaluaton of a complaint filed with FHCMD to determine if it involves a protected class. Review of the testing evidence as a check and balance to determine if the evidence meets the legal standard for discrimination. Recruit, assign and assist cooperating attorney for cases referred for additional legal action. Provide legal research for cooperating attorney on request. Serve as Editor of the FHCMD newsletter under the direction of the Executive Director. Represent FHCMD at various professional organizations.

Beatrice Paige
Organizational Services Coordinator

Beatrice is a volunteer that helps out with event planning and support of our annual Leadership Awards Banquet each year. She works full time for Henry Ford Hospital in the Human Resource Department.

Charles R. Shanaman
Coordinator of Investigations and Testing

Coordinate the investigation of claims of discrimination by recruiting, training and dispatching testers to claim sites. Prepare testers for depositions. Complete intake by gathering information from Complainants; analyzing information and determining proper next steps. Represent the FHCMD by performing fair housing training for housing providers and general public. Track cases and close cases as appropriate.

Darlene Taylor
Administrative Assistant

Darlene answers the phones and greets our customers and clients; she assists with typing, accounts payable, and filing. She also prepares packets for training and supports the award receptions.
